Theme Rowling – Categories

  Hi,
  I tried adding the Category widget from the Rowling theme, and wanted to build a list of items under the Categories. But other than the default ‘Uncategorized,’ I was not able to see where I could add child items/folders at the same level as ‘Uncategoried.’ Please advise. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  The best way to add categories is directly in the editor when you’re creating a new post. If you switch to the Document sidebar tab in the editor, you’ll see a categories and tags item. Any new category you add is automatically a top-level category like the default “Uncategorized”, but you can create a child category by assigning it a parent when you create it.

  You can edit existing categories, including setting a different default category, from My Site ->Manage ->Settings ->Writing
