Theme won't Show on New beginner wordpress site
-
Hi, I am a beginner to WordPress and I just signed up with the starter plan. I chose a free theme. I watched multiple videos on how to start a webpage. All the videos show that once you choose a theme, it shows up under your site’s name. You can then click on it and edit. For me, only the footer of the theme shows up. I tried upgrading from a free to a starter plan, and I tried using a different browser (Firefox and Safari), but it still won’t show the theme. Does anyone know how to make it show up?
Thank you,
Anna

Hi there,
I see that you have the Appleton theme activated on your site. Is that the one you want to use? To clarify, are you wanting your site’s format to look similar to the demo of Appleton? https://wordpress.com/theme/appleton

Thanks for answering, yes, I would like to start with the format looking exactly the same, and I can then replace the text and images as I learn. Thank you.

Thanks for confirming.
I have set your site to display the demo content for the Appleton theme. You can see that content here now: https://villageecosystems.wordpress.com/
Please note that I see you had a few pages that you created. Normally adding demo content would delete these but I set them to ‘draft’ status instead, in case there is any content on those pages you need to recover.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Thank you so much, I don’t know how you did that, but I am super appreciative that it is up and I can start playing with it. Have a great day.
