    I changed my theme to one that supports having a logo, I didn’t like the new theme so I changed back and lost all the work I’d done setting up widgets, getting ID numbers to link stuff etc etc. Trying to re-do it but can’t get rid of meta or search – they seem to have been applied automatically. Is there no way I can return to how it was? I’m so stressed and feel I should have been warned this would happen!

    Hi there,

    In order to remove the Search, Archives, etc. widget, please add an empty Text Widget to the Primary Sidebar. That will remove those widgets.

    I’m so sorry about the changes, please note that you can Preview the theme on your site before activating by going to Appearance > Themes in your Dashboard. Hover over a theme and you will see a link to Preview as seen here:
