Themes not working after uploading and Activating

  I am trying to upload a theme on one of my wordpress websites but Nothing happens after uploading and activating the theme. I cant see the recommended plugin install option nor any options that comes after activating the theme i.e. theme settings option. i have tried many other themes as well but not even a single one is working. kindly tell me where is the main issue. I can use online themes but cant use any theme after uploading.

  Hi –

  In order to upload a third party or custom theme as you’ve described, our business plan would be required. The business plan on our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com allows for that type of setup.

  Since your account has never made a purchase with us, I suspect that the you are working on is set up on the other version of WordPress. That’s the open source WordPress.org software. Help with it comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
