There has been a critical error on your website.

    Hi lads,

I am new here and just start learning how to create website using WordPress locally. I haven’t got any domain or online host yet. My plan is that once I finish building my website, I will buy a domain afterwards.

Last night, I was fiddling with my localhost WordPress, and did some coding to hide product from the shop page and show the product in another page. I managed successfully to do that after spending almost four hours digging for solution.

Later, I added the same code for different product category. My WordPress crashed, and I have not been able to login ever since. I spent the whole night looking to solving the problem.

Every time I try to login into my localhost I get this message stating that “There has been a critical error on your website.”

Please advise me what I need to do in order to resolve this problem.

  • Howdy –

Using the open source WordPress.org software is different from the managed hosting environment that we provide from WordPress.com.

    See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

For help and questions with using WordPress.org you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ you will need to create an account in order to post there. Best wishes.
