    When I attempt to export my blog content, I am greeted with this message:

    There was a problem preparing your export file. Please check your connection and try again, or contact support.

    I am not sure what to do at this point, or why I am seeing this message.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Hi there,

    Are you trying to export content from http://worldwanderingwendy.wordpress.com/? Did you check your internet connection as that error message suggests? Try resetting your modem/router by disconnecting it from the power for a few seconds, and then restarting it.

    Are you using the exporter at My Site ->Settings, or the one in Tools ->Export in WP-Admin?

    Also please try clearing your browser cache and cookies and see if that makes any difference.
