    Hi – I get the following message but can’t ‘find’ my wordpress site I started. It’s not under ‘my site’ when I log in. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    You transferred that domain to us on 23 February, and then you cancelled it on 26 February, getting a refund for the domain transfer, and subsequently deleted your site, laurencvickers.wordpress.com.

    Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. So that domain is not currently available for anyone to use, and won’t be until after it expires in September 2020.

    We can still restore that domain to your account, but you’ll have to do two things before we can do that:

    1) Go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and create a new WordPress.com site in your account – laurencvickers.wordpress.com was deleted more than 30 days ago so we cannot restore that site any more.

    2) Upgrade the site to the Personal Plan or higher – a paid plan is required to have a custom domain on WordPress.com, and that will also pay for the domain’s current year of registration which you were refunded when you cancelled the domain and plan in February.

    Correction: I see laurencvickers.wordpress.com was only deleted two weeks ago, so if you prefer we can still restore that site for you.

    Regardless you’ll have to buy a new plan for the site before we can restore the cancelled domain.

    Thank you. I just purchased a plan for colorfulobservationscom.wordpress.com and would like the laurencvickers.com domain restored. That is the site I want to use for my main site. Thank you.

    Thank you for the payment! I have restored laurencvickers.com back to your account, but I had to reactivate laurencvickers.wordpress.com in order to do so. However, I connected laurencvickers.com to colorfulobservationscom.wordpress.com, so everything should be set up as you prefer. Let me know if you have any questions or issues.
