this domain is already mapped to a wordpress.com site

I own a domain. – myoutdoorvoice.com
I am unable to map that domain because it is already mapped to another wordpress.com site.
Pretty sure it’s mapped to myoutdoorvoice.wordpress.com (not me)
Since I’m the rightful owner of the domain – how do I get it to be mapped to me instead?

Hi there,
That domain is not currently mapped to any site on WordPress.com. It used to be registered with us by another account, but it was cancelled and removed from that account some time ago.
It’s possible that domain was not properly removed from our database at the time, making our system think it’s still mapped. I’ve asked a developer to take a look, and will let you know as soon as they get back to me.

Okay, you should be able to add a domain mapping for that domain now.
