This notification doesn't support additional email fields due to a limitation

    I am trying to customise some user notifications using BNWP (better notifications for wp). One such notification is for user password resets…..a bit of a pointless feature if you cant use shortcodes in it! I’m getting this notification:

    This notification doesn’t support additional email fields due to a limitation in WordPress.

    Not a huge problem, if it also wasn’t also failing to pull the [password_reset_link] through. What’s the point in a user password reset email if it’s not supported!?!?! Surely I’m missing something…I am a novice with this plugin and it’s driving me round the bend. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi there,

    There is no option to run plugins on adreamitselfisbutashadow.wordpress.com, you are referring to a WordPress site on another hosting provider?

    To clarify, we use a custom managed version of WordPress on WordPress.com. If you are using a self-hosted WordPress site on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. we are not able to help.

    That version of WordPress behaves differently than the custom version we offer here, but you can find help in this forum instead: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

    You may also wish to contact BNWP support for a closer look since they would be most familiar with this issue and how to get around it: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bnfw/
