    Hello,

I logged in to manage my site after being away for a while, and when I go to switch to my site from an old one, it says ‘This site cannot be accessed,’ beside a little stop sign. It gives no more information, and only provides the option to delete the site. Clicking ‘Visit Admin’ takes me to a 404 not found.

Why is this happening? How can it be fixed?

  • Hi there,

    Are you referring to http://girlfindingfreedom.com/?

I’m sorry, but http://girlfindingfreedom.com/ is not hosted at WordPress.com, it’s only connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack. As such, we are unable to provide any direct assistance in this manner.

The fact that the site may have been built using WordPress, or may mention ‘Powered by WordPress’ (or something similar) simply means it is using the WordPress.org software, which can be downloaded and installed on any web host.

If you’re interested, you can learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

I would recommend getting in touch with Bluehost for support, or checking out these resources if your site was indeed built with WordPress software:

    Best,
