    Content on Coursera ususally tends to relate to the other version of the WordPress platform, the self-hosted WordPress software which you use to create a site on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.

    WordPress.com is by contrast a custom and fully managed cloud-based version of the same platform. In many ways it is similar to the self-hosted version, but there can also be differences. I’m not sure about the course content on Coursera but you may wish to set up your WordPress site with a different provider, so you have an experience that matches the course work.
