  I’ve got hosting, a site, and have imported a theme. I am totally stuck and feel like a moron. I can’t do anything and need handholding. I can’t find a live person here, so hopefully someone in the void can help. Where can I get affordable, one on one help here?

  You can get Livechat support here at WordPress.com if you have an upgraded plan. However do you have a site here at WordPress.com (in which case reveal the site address and the questions you have) or perhaps your site is hosted somewhere else? If your site is using the WordPress.org software then you need to ask for advice at:
