threadsunspress.com

I recently purchased the domain ‘threadsunspress.com’ from another account. It turns out that was the wrong account, and so I just cancelled that purchase. I now would like to purchase that domain for a new account. (This may have been a backwards way of going about it.) It seems there may need to be some processing time before I can reclaim the domain. If I’m right about that, how much time needs to pass? If I’m not, what should I do to reclaim the domain?

Hi –
The domain should become available again in 5 days if we do nothing.
If you need to get started sooner than that, write back to us from the mikeflatt account.
-
This is me writing from the mikeflatt account. If it’s possible to make the domain available sooner than five days from now, that would be ideal. Thanks!
-
This particular part of the process is outside of our control, so our best estimate is 5 days, but all we can do is estimate.

Oh, sorry, my fault for misreading that.
We can recover the domain for you, but since it was fully refunded, we’ll need you to pay the $18 registration fee.
I have sent that request with a link to pay to the email address on your account.
Once the domain is recovered under the correct account, we can help you move it to the new account.

-
Looks like you were able to send the payment regardless, and we have restored your domain. :)
You can now move both the site and domain registration from one account to the other following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
-
No. We have restored it for the original site. I didn’t register that you had sent the link to the mikeflatt account. I do not wish to host the threadsunspress.com domain under this account. I have again canceled the order for that domain for that account. Please send the purchase link to the email address assigned to the @threadsunspress account.
I’m sorry for the confusion.
-
Please stop canceling the domain, you do not need to do that.
We can only send the payment link to the account which purchased the domain, we cannot send it to any other account.
Once the domain domain is paid for and recovered, you can transfer the domain to any other account, but we absolutely must start with the mikeflatt account.
I have sent another payment request to that account.
-
Actually, you didn’t refund that payment request, so we don’t need a new payment request.
I have restored the domain to the mikeflatt account again.
What you need to do now is follow the guide at https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/ to transfer the domain to the desired account.
Please don’t cancel the domain again. :)

This seems to involve transferring ownership of the blog/site associated with the mikeflatt account. I don’t want to transfer ownership of that blog, particularly since I did not start the blog, and there are a number of other admins. I just want to be able to use threadsunspress.com as the domain for a new site with the threadsuns account. Does that make sense?
-
Does that make sense?
Sure! Domain rules don’t let us transfer domain ownership for you, but if you’ll transfer to the correct user, we can then help you get the domain transferred to the correct site.
I realized our link in the document we sent earlier was incorrect. So that’s been corrected. You can skip the site transfer steps. Just start here and let us know when that’s done.
