Title: Failed to load SyntaxHighlighter plugin — cannot save posts

  Message: I am unable to save any post as draft or publish on all my WordPress.com sites. The error message I see is: “Failed to load plugin url: /wp-content/plugins/syntaxhighlighter/syntaxhighlighter_mce-4.js?ver=3.6.2”. I have tried Chrome, Edge, mobile data, and the issue persists across all my sites. I have not installed any plugins or added any shortcodes. Please help.

  A day ago, I started getting the exact same error message when I try to edit drafts for http://www.saboscrivner.com :
  
  failed to load plugin url: /wp-content/plugins/syntaxhighlighter/syntaxhighlighter_mce-4.js?ver=3.6.2
  
  It takes forever to load my drafts, and I cannot upload photos or save my work. Most of the time, it just times out rather than loading my pages.

  This phase out of classic editor is such a shame. The Block Editor is just bogus and incompetent and ineficient. Why wordpress is doing itself this harm I don’t understand.
