To confirm if this is legit

As my friend of mine (apieceoforganic.com) has been subscribing wordpress. there is a email regarding to the DNS change
According to our checks, your domain name apieceoforganic.com currently has the following A record set:

    apieceoforganic.com IN A 209.15.20.234
We need you to replace any existing A records with the following two:

    apieceoforganic.com IN A 192.0.78.134
    apieceoforganic.com IN A 192.0.78.219
Any existing records should be removed, with the new records above added as replacements.

We have already configured our servers to work with the IP addresses above, so there shouldn’t be any noticeable change on your side once you make these updates.

In January 2019 we are going to upgrade the hosting infrastructure powering your site and if you do not complete these changes by January 15, 2019, your website will stop working.

If you have any questions please reply to this email and we’ll be happy to help.

I would like to know if this is legit

  • Hi there,

That email is from us and was sent out to a number of our Business Plan customers, yes. If your friend has any more questions, please ask them to open a support ticket at https://wordpress.com/help/contact while logged into their account that owns the Business Plan and we can help them there.

To be clear, they need to make these changes at their current DNS provider – when they mapped their domain to WordPress.com they opted not to move their DNS to us but to only point the domain using an A record, so we cannot automatically make this change for their site as we can with most others.
