To redirect TalismanicSacrament.al to TalismanicSacrament.wordpress.com do I have to pay?

  Hi all,

  Is there no way to redirect TalismanicSacrament.al to TalismanicSacrament.wordpress.com without having to pay WordPress?

  WordPress wants you to pay to use a CNAME record redirect. Is it the same for an HTTP/URL/301 redirect?

  As far as I know, those are the 2 choices.

  Hi there,

  If you want to use the domain talismanicsacrament.al with your WordPress.com site (so that domain is what visitors see when they come to the site) you’ll need to map your domain with the steps in our guide to Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping). I see your domain talismanicsacrament.al is already pointed to WordPress.com, and to finish setting up your domain that way you’ll need to set up domain mapping.

  If your domain registrar supports redirects, you’re welcome to set up a redirect instead. You’ll need to talk to your domain registrar about setting that up, and you don’t need to make any changes here at WordPress.com for that. However, keep in mind that will only send visitors from talismanicsacrament.al to talismanicsacrament.wordpress.com — the actual address visitors see when they’re on your WordPress.com site won’t change.
