  I use the tool bar for the body of my post; however, I don’t see how to italicize a word in the title, which sits over the toolbar.

  Hi there,

  Post titles cannot be formatted the way that the text in the body of your post is formatted.

  The Custom Design upgrade can be used to give you more control over how elements like post titles look on your blog, although it cannot control individual words in post titles (such as italicizing one word in a title). If you have any questions about this, please let me know!
