transfer a mapped domain from one site to another

  I have two WordPress sites. I have been using one as the live site and one as the development site. I mapped a domain for the live site a while back and it works great. Now I want to simply transfer that mapped domain to the development site and turn it on so it becomes the live site. How can I do this easily?

  Sorry for the delay. I couldn’t figure out how to find this thread. I did not receive the email. I just edited my account at https://wordpress.com/me/account to update to my gmail account, but it says it is pending and an email was sent to the yahoo address. I don’t know how to get into the yahoo account so I am not sure what to do next.

  I received the confirmation email to my gmail account and clicked the link, so I think I have successfully reset the email address on my account. Now I should receive your replies to that email address or to this forum. Thank you in advance. I would like to transfer the mapped domain as soon as is feasible.
