transfer damin name from 1&1 to wordpress

  I have a domain name (nashawnbranch.com) registered with 1&1 and I would like to transfer it to WordPress to start my blog. 1and 1 gave me an authorization code but not quite sure of next steps.

  Burn the code – not needed – WordPress.COM can’t accept incoming domain name transfers – you need to keep the registration not at WordPress.COM – you CAN map the domain name to your blog here – see below for instructions

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ this should help. WP.com isn’t accepting incoming transfers to manage domains, but you can just change where your domain points via the Domain Mapping upgrade, and then it will point to your WP.com blog.
