Transfer database, theme, plugins etc
-
Good afternoon I just opened this site as one to explore with. I am new to WordPress and have a big job on my hands. I need to transfer a site with all its content, theme, plugins, elementor, divi child theme without any changes on current website or any of its set up email. I don’t have access to the database I am only a administrator and I see there is a duplicator plugin installed.
The current company does not want me to ask for help with her suppliers which is you but she is not getting back to me its been a week I am running out of directions to run.
My questions:
1. What is the procedure to transfer the site with everything as is for me to have full control over everything.2.Will the current business or premier plan go with the website?
3. Will the plugins be available as it is now ?
4. Elementor theme will this me installed and working as normal does the Api Key travel with ?
5. Can I do backup of site just being an administrator?
6. In order for me to import the website on my wordpress account can I do this just with the free plan ?
7. I also need to keep the domain and the database as is.
Thank you sorry for all the questions this is the only way I am going to successfully get the done. I am used to HTML on Dreamweaver so i know how to do my backups etc from C/panel WordPress is new to me and I am not getting a clear understanding of it all yet.
Thanks

Hi there,
To transfer the entire site, as is, will require our Business Plan. You can find the process to import your site here:
https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
Note that this does require that the Jetpack plugin is installed on the existing site and connected to your WordPress.com account.
4. Elementor theme will this me installed and working as normal does the Api Key travel with ?
I’m not able to answer this, as I don’t know where in a site Elementor stores API keys, and if the same key would function on a copy of the site, as using this option will essentially just make an exact copy of your site on our servers, without removing the original site from the current host’s. Please contact support at Elementor directly to ask about this.
5. Can I do backup of site just being an administrator?
That would depend on how you back up the site. If you’re using a plugin, any admin on a standard WordPress site can install those. If backups are handled by the host, then you’d need access to the hosting account.
But you don’t need a full site backup to transfer to us. You just need to install Jetpack on the site, and then start the migration process on the WordPress.com site you want to use.
6. In order for me to import the website on my wordpress account can I do this just with the free plan ?
On the free plan you can import content only, i.e. posts, pages, comments and media files, using the export/import functionality built into the WordPress software. To transfer themes and plugins as well requires the Business Plan.
7. I also need to keep the domain and the database as is.
As long as Jetpack has access to the database, which it would have unless you made custom modifications to the site to restrict access to certain database tables, everything should make it across to us.
However, note that this process will only transfer the site.
A domain is something completely separate. To transfer that you’ll need to log into the account that owns the domain at the domain registrar where it was bought, unlock it, and obtain a transfer code. Then you can transfer the domain to us as described here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
If you also have email connected to your domain, you can see here how to reconnect your existing email account to the domain once it’s been transferred to us:
