Transfer Domain

  I just cancelled my domain and didn’t renew my website for another year because I wanted to switch blog platforms. I want to transfer my domain but it says it’s locked and I can’t use it. I already cancelled everything on WordPress. Do I just wait or what do I do to get my website domain back? I want to transfer my domain or buy that domain on the other host.

  Hi –

  I’ve restored siceyourlife.com to your account. This way you won’t lose ownership of it when it works through the cancellation process. It could take up to a year until that domain became available for you to purchase with another provider.

  Once the domain is 60 days old you can transfer it outright to a new domain registrar. That regulation is in place from ICANN so there’s nothing we can do about the timeline.
