  Did not realize that wordpress could have managed my domain, and just purchased from Go Daddy. Am I going to need to double pay for a transfer to wordpress?

  No, don’t worry, if you purchase one of our paid plans, the domain transfer will be included in the price. You would only start paying for the domain registration from next year.

  Note, however, that you may not be able to transfer the domain right away. You may need to wait 60 days before doing that. If that’s the case, you’ll want to map the domain instead. It’s free with any of our plans:
