Transfer Domain Away from WordPress

Hi, I registered a new domain (my name) through WordPress, but then within 2 days canceled the service because it wasn’t user-friendly. Now I’m trying to transfer the domain to another service, but I can’t find the domain I registered (my name) on the list of domains on WordPress. The only domain listed is the original wordpress.com domain. However, when I try to register my name as a domain for another site, it appears to be already taken! (Because somehow even though it’s not showing up on WordPress, WordPress is somehow associated with the domain I registered through them.) So in short, how can I transfer a domain away from WordPress that isn’t even showing up on the list of domains? (And it definitely is registered with WordPress. That’s the only place I’ve ever registered my very uncommon name as a domain.) Would love any tips or help on this! I’m beyond frustrated. Thanks!

Once canceled, you cannot transfer a domain. You have to own a domain registration in order to transfer it. Also, even if registered, domains cannot be transferred for 60 days from the date of registration due to ICANN rules. So you would want to use these instructions to point your domain to a new webhost:
I can try and reverse the cancellation. If successful, you will need to re-purchase the yearly domain registration.

The bad news is that you have waited too long and I cannot reverse the cancellation.
The good news is that you have waited long enough that your domain passed through the expiration process and is now available to be registered again.
