Transfer domain from another website to wordpress

    Do you receive domain previously hosted by a different company, if you do, how much would the cost be and how long will it take before you can have that domain up and running on your end? The current host says it will take 7 days from their end to completely let go the domain.. will your time frame starts only after the domain name was completely churn from the old host? Thanks

    The total time frame depends on how quickly your current domain registrar releases the domain.

    If you plan on using the domain here at WordPress.com, we recommend you set your domain nameservers to WordPress.com before you transfer the domain so you won’t need to do that once the transfer is complete.
