Transfer domain from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  I want to have my blog on wordpress.org instead of wordpress.com. If I’m to transfer my domain to another registrar, will it than be linked to wordpress.org or still to wordpress.com?
  Will it help, if I will delete my account on wordpress.com?
  I’m very confused, please help me!

  Hi there,

  You don’t need to delete anything here at WordPress.com. If you’d like to use your domain soravishing.com with a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, that’s no problem.

  You can either keep your domain registered here at WordPress.com and just point it to your new blog at the new host, or you can transfer the domain to a new registrar and point it at your new host. We have a guide for either of those options here: Move Your Domain to Another Host
