Transfer Domain Name and Website

    I have a website and domain name registered with Wix. Wix does not offer some website functions that I need. I want to transfer my domain and website to WordPress. What happens to the content of my website after transfer? Can I use features of WordPress to enhance my website functionality after the transfer has been made?

    Hi there,

    You indeed can migrate your site from Wix over to WordPress.com. You would have to select a new theme from WordPress.com because themes from Wix cannot be imported, but the process is pretty straightforward and your actual site content would be migrated over. And yes once the transfer is made, you’ll be able to utilize the features that WordPress.com as a platform offers.
