Transfer domain to a new host

One month ago, I went through the process of transferring my domain to bluehost.com. I exported my wordpress.com site, uploaded wordpress.org to domain nicknorvell.com, and went through all proper procedures (ie. change nameservers) to move website from wp.com to wp.org. When going to nicknorvell.com today, I was redirected to old wp.com blog. All files are still on bluehost.com, but can’t figure out why nicknorvell.com redirects to wp.com (old) blog and not wp.org (new) site. On bluehost.com, it says domain is registered to Wild West Domains but I can’t figure out how to transfer to bluehost.com because I don’t have account info for WWD. I can’t delete old wp.com site to prevent redirect either. I am so lost.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I checked the DNS settings for your domain nicknorvell.com, and it is correctly pointed to BlueHost. When I visit your domain, I see your self-hosted site and not your WordPress.com site: http://nicknorvell.com/

It’s possible that your computer has the old DNS information saved (cached) in the system, which is why it shows you the old site at your domain. You might want to try flushing your computer’s DNS cache to see if that helps.

If you’d like to transfer the domain registration to BlueHost, as well, you can follow this guide: Transfer a domain to another registrar

Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

It all seems to be working. That must have been it. Thanks!
