I was speaking with someone, and lost connection. I am trying to transfer a domain to wordpress. I have an auth code. But I can’t purchase a plan. I keep getting an error message that my domain is not available to transfer, and to contact support.

I see you’re trying to transfer stevebernsteinauthor.com. What is the exact wording of the error you’re seeing, and at which step in the transfer process do you see it?
Did you make any changes to the domain contact information in the last 60 days? If you have your domain might be under a mandatory ICANN 60-day transfer lock. Please contact Namecheap to find out if that may be the case, and if they have a process to opt out of that lock.
Otherwise I don’t see anything that would prevent the domain from transferring to us. It’s possible that when you tried to transfer it, the status had not yet updated as unlocked in the public Whois database, but I can see it’s unlocked now, so you should be able to transfer provided it’s not under the ICANN lock.
Just to clarify, there are two different domain locks. Both need to be lifted before a domain can be transferred, but while you/your registrar can manually control the standard domain lock, the ICANN lock is automatic and triggered by certain actions on your domain.
