We’re not able to accept incoming domain transfers on WordPress.com, so it’s not possible to transfer your domain here.
If you want to use the domain with your WordPress.com site, you need to connect it using the domain mapping upgrade instead, as you are already doing.

So I have an account on squarespace.com. I don’t want to use squarespace at all, I want to delete the account .Ideally today. how would i be able to delete squarespace account and still be able to use samedayoverhead.com on wordpress. thanks -
my wordpress says that samedayoverhead.com is a mapped domain but not a registered domain. how to i make it a registered domain

@samedayoverhead please NEVER post your transfer key in a public forum. Anyone in possession of that code can transfer your domain to their own account from any registrar. I recommend you immediately contact Squarespace and ask them to generate a new code for your domain.
As I said in my first reply to the original poster, it is not possible to transfer a domain to WordPress.com. We have no place where you can input that code, and there is no way to move your domain registration to us. If your domain is already registered with Squarespace, the only way to use it here is to keep it registered there, and connect it here via domain mapping.
