Transfer Expired Domain

  Our premium account has expired, so we’ve lost access to the domain name. We would like to regain access to the domain and transfer it to a different registrar. How would I do this?

  Hi there,

  I would be happy to assist you in renewing your subscription. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. Until recently, you were able to renew an upgrade that was under your account, but now only the owner of the upgrade can. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into renewing the subscription upgrade. However, you should be able to renew the domain if logged into the account that owns the upgrade.

  Thanks. I was unaware this was not the owner account until your response. I’m working on getting access to that account and will post here with an update either to confirm that I was able to resolve things independently or to ask for more assistance.

  Ok. Would this be the proper “owner” account? The domain we had previously registered is not listed under the “domains” section, and when I search for it, the message says it “is taken”.

  The domain appeared in the cart momentarily with the renewal of the “Business” plan (making me think it is still available to be renewed), but I removed it since the desire is just to renew (or preferably transfer) the domain and use it elsewhere.

  I saw the the manual payment earlier, but I did not have access to the payment information yet. Now it appears the only purchase I can make is the renewal for an additional year starting 2018 and at a different price point.

  Sorry to keep bothering you, but I do want to make sure we pay our fair share. How do I get back to that manual payment?

  Nevermind. I found the link sent to the email account associated with this user. That email address had been abandoned (the primary reason we got into this mess). Thankfully tracked down those login credentials as well.
