Transfer .is domain

    Hello. My company owns the domain 7.is and we are setting up a new WP website. We would like to transfer our domain to WordPress.

    I got these instructions from the Icelandic registry (ISNIC.is):
    Please generate or re-generate my Zone file since the domain must be active
    on the nameservers before it can be re-delegated. Also, make sure the TTL
    for the NS records in the Zone file is 86400 (and not 14400) since that is
    a requirement set by ISNIC, the .IS Registry.

    Hi there,

    We are not an accredited registrar for .is domains, so it is not possible to transfer that domain to us.

    If you wish to use that domain with a site hosted on WordPress.com, the only way to do it is via our domain mapping upgrade:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

    TTL for DNS records cannot be manually adjusted on WordPress.com.
