Transfer .it-Domain from Register.it to wirdpresss

    Dear Support,

    I recently created a homepage for an Artist that i am the Manager for. I now have the Problem that i don’t get transfered the .it-Domain, hosted in Register.it to WordPress. They Tell me they don’t Support this Type on the free level. How can i get to this without any extra paying?

    Hi there,

    We do not support incoming transfers or registrations for .it domains on WordPress.com.

    If you wish to use a .it domain with a WordPress.com site you can still do so. You’ll need to keep the domain registered at your current provider, but ask them to change the name servers to WordPress.com.

    Then you can add the domain mapping upgrade to the WordPress.com site to complete the connection. Adding a domain mapping upgrade requires one of our paid plans.

    There is no way to add a custom domain to a WordPress.com site for free.
