Transfer of domain for a closed account

    Hi,

    I have just closed the account ‘(redacted)’ which was associated to the domain ‘jus-et-herboristerie.com’.

    I would like to buy again this domain with another registrar in order to keep receiving emails attached to it, but it is blocked and appears you still own it.

    Could you please release this domain or transfer it to another registrar ?

    Hi –

    Thanks for writing to us. It’s best to not cancel things like domains. That domain won’t be eligible again for registration as a new domain again for some time (months).

    We can help you get it back, though, and you can use it somewhere else.

    What we have to do is get the account restored first. Write back to the email that we sent when you deleted the jusetherboristerie user account. Just say it was a mistake and you need the account restored so you don’t lose the domain.

    Write back to me here once you’ve sent that note in and I will go look for it and get the account reinstated.

    Once that’s done, we can restore the domain to your account.

    Then, you just need to edit the name servers on the domain which will point it to the new provider. This is called domain mapping. It’s the best way forward so you don’t lose ownership of it through the cancellation process.
