Transfer Premium plan ownership to different account (site already transferred)

  Hi there,

  I’m posting on behalf of Don Hatcher, who owns a Premium plan on ailact.wordpress.com, originally purchased under his personal account while he served as treasurer for AILACT (Association for Informal Logic & Critical Thinking), a nonprofit organization.

  Don is no longer treasurer, and the site itself has already been successfully transferred to the organization’s dedicated WordPress.com account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)).

  However, the Premium plan did not transfer along with the site, since it was purchased under Don’s account rather than the site-owning account.

  We’d like to request that this plan be reassigned from Don’s account to the AILACT account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)), so billing and management are fully consolidated under the organization going forward.

  Don is happy to confirm this request directly if needed — just let us know the best way for him to do that (a reply here, a quick note from his account, etc.).

  Thank you for reaching out! Because plan subscriptions and billing ownership involve account security, we’ll need the current plan owner to contact us directly from the WordPress.com account used to purchase the plan.

  Would it be okay to ask Don to log into his account and reach out to us here:

  Once he submits the request from his account, our team will be able to assist him directly with reassigning the plan/billing details.

  I followed the directions, but still unable to transfer the ownership and billing of the Premium Plan ailact.wordpress.com to (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  Hi Don,

  To transfer the Premium plan and ownership of ailact.wordpress.com over to (email visible only to moderators and staff), you’ll just need to execute a site ownership transfer directly from your account dashboard.

  Here is how you can complete the transfer:

  1. Log into WordPress.com using your account (dlhatcher).
  2. Go to your Hosting Dashboard and click on ailact.wordpress.com.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Danger zone section at the bottom and click Transfer.
  5. Enter the target email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) and click Continue.
  6. Check the confirmation boxes and click Start transfer.
  7. Check your email inbox to click Authorize transfer.

  Once you authorize it via email, the site along with its active Premium plan subscription and billing details will automatically move over to the AILACT account.
