hello,
I have recently bought a domain, not from WordPress, and would like to transfer it. however, I have been inform that I cannot do so until 60 days passes. I have also been told that it is possible for me to point the domain to this site, if so, how may I go about doing so. additionally, I have bought this domain for two years, if I were to transfer it would I be force to pay another two years but with WordPress this time?

New domains cannot be transferred for 60 days after registration, no. This is a regulation that applies to all domains, no matter where you bought it or where you want to transfer it.
To use the domain with a WordPress.com site right away you need to upgrade to one of our paid plans, which will allow you to connect the domain here using our domain mapping upgrade:

Once you’ve owned the domain for 60 days you’ll be able to transfer it to us. You might need to pay an additional fee to do this, but the domain is also renewed for an additional year once the transfer completes. This again is true no matter where you transfer a domain – a domain will always renew immediate after it is transferred, so there is always a cost involved with transferring a domain.
