  Hi,

  I want to transfer a site to wordpress.com for a fully hosted and auto updated solution. I basically want a set it and forget it solution. Can you give me a price for this please? Thanks

  As for transferring a site to us, depending on how the original site is built, you can move it by following the guides at https://transferto.wordpress.com/

  Thanks for your quick response. The site is currently on a free version of WordPress but it’s 8 years old. I’d like to transfer the site onto one of your managed solutions. I was wondering if you handled the migration as part of this. Also with the managed solutions will the website be set it and forget it or do I need to continue to manage the plugins? Also am I am able to migrate the site and edit it before I repoint the domains.

  In that case, you’ll move the site by following the guide at https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/

  We don’t offer transfer services ourselves, but the process is relatively easy. :)

  If you do use plugins, which requires a paid Business or eCommerce plan, you’ll still need to manage those plugins, but we can provide automatic updates.

  And, you certainly can get your site set up here before switching your domain over.

  When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.

  Note that you will need a paid plan at the time you want to map or transfer your domain to the site.
