Transfer subscribers to WordPress.org website
-
I need to migrate our email and wordpress.com subscribers over from our wordpress.com blog to our wordpress.org website. I’ve looked at Jetpack but it wont keep giving our wordpress.com subscribers email notifications. How can this be done to preserve the notifications?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have looked at this but Jetpack says that “while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site” I need my WordPress.com followers to still receive the email updates and not just see new posts in the reader. How would I go about getting that done?

@lydiadog so you can have email-only followers and WordPress.com followers. The WordPress.com followers will see the the sites they follow in their reader.
They will see the emails if they have their preferences set that way. They may also get a digest of posts once a week, or once a day for busier sites. We want them to have a good experience that fits their needs.
Also, this applies whether the site they are following is hosted here or elsewhere; if they’ve been getting emails, they’ll keep getting them. I hope that helps.
