Transfer to someone else

I am no longer administering this site. Responsibility has been passed on to someone else. How do we effect that change for this site?

  • Hi there,

Can you please let me know your site’s address so I can point you in the right direction of getting support?

rpsfinc.org. Administration of the site has already been passed on and they probably changed the password too.

  • Thanks @jqpworld, this site actually is not hosted here with us. I’d recommend contacting the host to ensure the hosting account has been transferred to the appropriate people: justhost.com

And then contact the appropriate people to ensure they’ve updated settings on their installation as well. Cheers!

I keep receiving emails that the WordPress site I used to administer, rpsfinc.org, has been updated. Administration of this site has transferred to a new owner. I wish to remove my name and account from WordPress. When I go to Account Settings to permanently delete my account, I receive a message saying: “It will remove your account along with all your sites and all their content.” If rpsfinc.org is not hosted by WordPress, if I delete my account, will the website still remain in existence and live on the host’s machine?

  • Hi there,

That site is not hosted with us, so we have no control over it, and the emails you’re getting from the site has nothing to do with us or your WordPress.com account. Deleting your WordPress.com account won’t affect that site in any way, but it also won’t stop the emails, as those are being generated by the site itself, and being sent to the email address for your admin account on that site.

To stop these emails the new owner of the site will need to remove your admin account from the site at WP-Admin ->Users ->All users.
