transfer typepad to wordpress

  will this include all my photos? will they be saved here when I close my typepad account?

  Hi there,

  When you import your Typepad site to us we try to move over all your content, but we cannot guarantee that all media files will make it across. So please don’t close or delete anything on Typepad’s end until you’re sure everything has been imported correctly on our end.

  Thank you, Kokkieh.

  Once the import is complete, will the images be permanent on wordpress or will they be lost on WordPress once the typepad account is closed? My blog has completely transferred but I am concerned about my photo files.

  Go to My Site ->Media. If your images appear there, it means they’ve been imported to your site’s media library and are now stored on our servers. In that case they won’t be lost should you delete them from Typepad.

  Perfect – they are there! So I should have no fear of losing them now!! Right?? A little nervous to delete Typepad until I am completely confident!

  Hi there,

  Correct. Now that the images are on our servers, you should feel confident that you will continue to have access to them even after you delete Typepad.
