transfer webhost

I have changed my webhost provider and i am trying to transfer my website. I am using siteground as my new provider and they instructed to me install a plugin to wordpress so that i can transfer the website. I keep receiving the following error on wordpress when trying to install the plugin Upload problem: json_syntax.
I need support urgently and i cannot believe there is no contact number to help with the problem. I would really appreciate the chance to talk to someone on the phone. i understand that if i am a paid member i can receive support but i think its unnecessary to purchase a plan just to talk to someone, since my website was working fine for the past year.

You are in the wrong forum as we can only help with sites running on the wordpress.com platform. Try the support for the plugin you are having troubles with, or perhaps someone at the wordpress.org forum can help you, https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Sorry I don’t understand? I can only log into my website dashboard through wordpress.com. Would that not mean my site runs on wordpress.com not .org?
