Transfered site to Wix

I transferred my site to Wix a while back and now it’s saying that y’all are the main domain owners? How do I get this resolved. This is so frustrating. And the main reason I left WordPress.

We are not the owners of the domain. We are the domain registrar. You were the owner until the domain expired on 26 January 2017.
That domain was never transferred. I can see you requested the transfer code in July last year, but we never received a transfer request from Wix that it should be moved over to them. You changed the domain’s name servers a day after requesting the code to point the domain to Wix, but the domain was still registered with us after that. Did you ever give the transfer code to Wix?
At this point the domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the recovery process started.

Yes i sent them the code. So it is on Wix that this has occurred. Can you send me that transfer request from July to my email address. I would greatly appreciate it.

I’ve sent you the payment link via email. Once we receive your payment I can email our registrar to ask them to restore the domain.

I can see from the audit log that we keep for changes to your domain that you requested the transfer code, but the actual email is generated and sent from our registrar and I cannot access it directly. That email won’t work now for a transfer in any case. Once the domain is restored, I’ll show you how to request a new transfer code, which you can then give to Wix so they can transfer the domain.

I’ve emailed our registrar. They typically restore a domain within a day or two. I’ll let you know once I hear back from them.

Thank you once the site is back up I will transfer the site to WIX. Thanks for all your help

Your domain has been restored, but our registrar has now placed a transfer lock on the domain. I have requested that they remove the lock to you can transfer the domain. I’ll let you know when they’ve done that. Meanwhile your domain should be showing your Wix site again.

Right. The domain is now unlocked as well, so you should now be able to transfer it. Please go to My Site ->Domains, and then follow these instructions:
