Transfering Domain from self-hosted site back to wordpress.com

  I previously had a wordpress.com site mapped to my domain. Last year, I moved to a self-hosted wordpress.org and transfered the domain address over to it. I’d like to move back to wordpress.com now and transfer the domain back to wordpress.com. How can I do that? I do have the authorization to transfer code. Thanks for your assistance.

  WordPress.COM is not equipped to accept incoming domain name transfers – you need to keep your domain name registered not at WordPress.COM

  Map your WordPress.COM to your domain name like you did originally

  I see. When the domain name expires, should I then renew using wordpress.com?
