transfering domain name

    I have a domain name that I have transferred from godaddy to wordpress, I am now trying to link to my wordpress account which they are trying to charge me for. really confused since it is being hosted by HostGator which I have paid for. help please

    What is the domain?

    If you’re hosted by HostGator, then you’re using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org. That’s not the same thing as WordPress.com, which is a hosting provider, like HostGator, and we have nothing to do with either your site or your domain.

    For help linking your domain to your site with HostGator, please contact support at HostGator directly.
