Transfering domain name to WordPress

    Kia ora,
    I am totally new to all this. I have read that I need to transfer my domain name to wordpress (I am opting for the simplest options!) but it is less than 1 month since
    I bought it – do I have to wait 60 days? Can I still continue to set up my website before transferring it?

    Yes and No.

    Yes, you have to wait 60 days for a domain transfer. That is an ICANN regulation.

    No, you don’t have to wait to use your domain with WordPress.com. Instead of transferring it directly, you can simply edit the name servers in the DNS records to point it to us. The domain stays registered where it is, but it points to WordPress.com. This process is referred to as domain mapping.
