Transfering Existing WordPress Blogsite Contents to a Revised WordPress Blogsite

  Can I ask one last question?

  I visited a website that pertains to themes. I came across a theme (which according to this site is FREE and can be used with WordPress.com.). I downloaded the theme (https://wordpress.org/themes/perfect-blog/), which refers to a zip file (which I never heard of until today and, it has multiple sections within it). Can this theme be used for my new WordPress.com Blogsite? When I went to Appearances and went to download / upload this theme, I can’t seem to do so.

  What are your thoughts?

  Hi,

  I’m not seeing anywhere that the perfect-blog theme claims to be able to be used with WordPress.com.

  However, regardless, the short version is that on WordPress.com, free plans cannot upload themes downloaded from elsewhere. To do that, you would need to upgrade to the Business or eCommerce plan:

  Yeah, the site that I had mentioned for the “perfect blog” had numerous themes (some being mentioned as premium themes for WordPress), while others were mentioned as being free.

  However, as you stated, and I quote “I’m not seeing anywhere that the perfect-blog theme claims to be able to be used with WordPress.com.”, end of quote, I guess it’s back to the drawing board.

  Can you please refer me to a website or somewhere in WordPress, where there may be FREE WordPress.com Themes to review?

  P.S. It has been several years ago that I created two WordPress.com Blogsites and I am in my mid-70s. Hence, I am having difficulty remembering where to go on WordPress.
