  i have a present a domain with register.com
  can i transfer my domain name to wordpress complete ?

  if yes how is it done and how much does it cost annually for wordpress to host my domain ?

  setting up on wordpress how many navigation pages can i have ? at present i have about us and home ?

  You can have as many static pages as you want.

  Here are the instructions for managing a domain. You cannot transfer the domain itself to WordPress.com, but you CAN use it on your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
