Transferred domain still points to my hideous old website

    I transferred my domain (drewstories.com) from Google domains to being hosted here on WordPress. The transfer went through because I can no longer see the domain on Google domains. I also have the “Use WordPress nameservers” box checked and it says my domain is active

    Now, when I go to my domain, it still directs me to my old website. I don’t know what to do with the DNS settings, I just left those on the WordPress defaults, which I’m pretty sure is what I’m supposed to do

    I thought I was going to be on WordPress but instead I’m just pressed for words, am I missing something here?

    Hi,

    Your domain has the right nameservers, but it has two DNS A records that are interfering.

    You can fix this by removing the following two A records:

    A www.drewstories.com 176.223.133.232
A drewstories.com 176.223.133.232

    Hello, after deleting those two A records, I’m getting the “This site can’t be reached, DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” page

    After a few hours of that, I went ahead and clicked the “restore default A records” in the DNS settings, with the same results. Do I need to do anything else or just wait?

    I am not able to reproduce the error. When domain settings are updated, it can take up to 72 hours for the changes to propagate. It looks like this was the case, and your domain is set up and working as expected.
