Transferring a website from a wordpress account to another

  Hi,
  i own a domain hosted by aruba while the website has been built on wordpress by an external company i can no longer get in touch with. Now i created another account here on wordpress and i would like to know if there’s a way to transfer the web hosting from the above-mentioned third party account (which i can’t access to) to my new account.

  We have docs that would help you migrate your site, however, without accessing your content on Aruba’s side, you wouldn’t really be able to obtain the XML file you’d need. And since WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two independent entities, we can’t help you obtain it.

  I’d suggest getting in touch with your host first, and try to regain access to the site. Once that is done, you can follow the steps from here:
