transferring a website to wordpress

    I have created another website (although it is not live yet), but I am interested to know how I can transfer it to WordPress. Will WordPress change the entire look of my current site? I already have a registered domain elsewhere, Thank you, Leah

    Hi there,

    What is your site URL? What blogging platform is your site currently on? Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org site? If so, our support page provides instructions on how to transfer the site over to WordPress.com:

    As far as the current look of your site, maintaining that same look will depend on whether or not we have the same/similar theme on WordPress.com with what you are currently using? If you have a self-hosted WordPress site, then there is a possibility that we have the same branded theme as the self-hosted them you are using, if was created by us. Otherwise, you will need to pick a theme and the layout could look entirely different.
