Transferring Admin rights

Our blog admin is no longer an employee of our institution and they no longer have access to password information. How can we regain admin control of this blog?

Just to confirm — are you referring to Administrator access on greenriverhr.wordpress.com or another site?

Thanks @ksimmons2018, I can see you’re an author on that site. Are you able to reach out to the former employee and ask them to transfer the site ownership and admin rights to someone within the company? That would be your best bet.
Otherwise, there is at least one other administrator on the site who can grant access to other users, but I still recommend getting ownership changed as needed. That can only be done by the current site owner.

Thank you! I’ve attempted reaching out to both Steve S and Zachary S but both say they don’t have the access anymore (they’re both former employees). Certainly I would prefer having ownership transferred as it would mean the ability to grant it to our college relations team (solving the problem of ownership for good). I would be grateful for any help from the wordpress end.

I’m afraid there isn’t a lot we can do as the original owner of the site would have to transfer ownership of it.
You may want to talk with Steve again and have him check and see if he still has access and can transfer the ownership to you or someone else.
Considering this carefully as to how much you trust him since as the site owner, he has complete control over that site.
